A long-held fight for education
( Phoenix )Arizona Republican legislators and schools chiefs Tom Horne have filed appeals against a recent federal court order that sets March 2008 as the deadline for the state to earmark funds for English Language Instruction. The appeal is the latest development in one mother's longtime education battle with the State of Arizona dubbed Flores v. Arizona. KJZZ's Marcos Najera reports.

Tuberculosis Patient Leaves Country
( Phoenix, AZ )A Phoenix man who contracted a rare form of drug-resistant tuberculosis has left the country. Over the weekend, 28-year-old Robert Daniels violated a court order, and flew to Russia where his wife and son live.

TB Patient Back in AZ
( Phoenix, AZ )Tuberculosis patient Robert Daniels is back in Phoenix. He's the man who sparked a national debate over the ethics of forced quarantine in cases of infectious disease. Daniels spent 11 month in a lock down facility at the Maricopa Medical Center, after he went out in public without a face mask. He was eventually flown to Denver for medical treatment, where he had his left lung removed.
