Oak Creek Canyon Residents Voice Concerns About Brins Fire
( Phoenix, AZ )Residents of some 150 homes on the North side of Sedona were allowed back to their houses Wednesday, although officials learned that some had been going to their homes for days, ignoring an evacuation order. Meanwhile at a midday town hall meeting, several Oak Creek Canyon residents complained they had been forced to evacuate too hastily. KJZZ's Rene Gutel is covering the Brins fire and has this report.

Brins Fire Breaches Canyon Rim
( Sedona, AZ )The Brins fire continues to burn out of control one mile north of Sedona. Late yesterday the fire breached the rim of Oak Creek Canyon, threatening hundreds of homes and businesses at the bottom of the canyon along Highway 89-A.

Utah National Guard in San Luis
( San Luis, AZ )Border states are preparing for the arrival of thousands of National Guard Troops. They're coming as part of Operation Jumpstart, the President’s plan to put troops along the US-Mexico line as a support to the Border Patrol. There have been National Guard Troops stationed along the border for years. KJZZ's Rene Gutel spent a day with one of those units, 55 soldiers from Utah, who are improving roads and extending a security fence south of Yuma.
