Dia de los Muertos
( Phoenix, AZ )To the uninitated, Day of the Dead, officially celebrated on November 1st and 2nd, is a macabre occasion that some find more goulish than spiritually uplifting. But to those who understand its origins, Day of the Dead isn't as much about death than as it is a celebration of life. And thanks to a growing awareness of Latino culture, the Day of the Dead traditions are now observed, shall we say, by less traditional members of the community.
