Terry’s radio career began nearly 20 years ago as News Director and disc jockey at a country music station in Coolidge, Arizona. The 100-mile daily commute from his home in Tempe served as a motivating factor for Terry to find work in the Valley, which brought him to album-rocker KSTM in the mid-1980’s.

Terry joined KJZZ for a stint as jazz music announcer in 1987. From there, it was on to the news department, where he is now KJZZ afternoon host for All Things Considered. Terry is also a gifted reporter, having won many awards for his news features. He recently won a 1st Place Award in the "Best Serious Feature" category for his "WalMart Plague" story. Terry was also recognized nationally last year by the Public Radio News Directors' Incorporated for his "Smoking Sting" feature.
